Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself

Love it. The book is above loving self and appreication your uniqueness. There is a trend in America where younger and younger children are being shaped by the media. Young black and Latino girls want to look like Elsa from the movie Frozen. This book is a very ethnic and a refreshing intermission from Anglo-Saxons dominate children books. We need more diversity, and a lot more inter-diversity children books. Sadly, many children books are either too Afrocentric or oversaturated with an Euro-motiff. I would love to see more children stories of Natives interacting with Chinese or Latinos communing with Asian Indian or Jewish children skipping rope with Ethiopians. Ha! Maybe I should write one!

This book is a wonderful asset to any home library. Children of all ethnic backgrounds will benefit from the lessons of positive self-image. This book will be extremely helpful for multiracial families working for positive self-esteem across the board.
